Business Insurance
General Liability
Third-party injury, property damage and advertising claims.
General liability is the policy most people picture when they think of business insurance. It responds when someone outside your business — a customer, a visitor, a passer-by — is hurt or has their property damaged because of your operations.
It is also the coverage most contracts require. Landlords, general contractors and clients will usually ask for a certificate before you can start work.
Who usually needs it
Almost every business. If you have premises, employees on other people's sites, or contracts that require proof of insurance, this is the starting point.
