Despite the name, inland marine has little to do with boats. It covers movable property and property in transit — the things a standard commercial property policy leaves out because they are not at a fixed location.
It is a flexible category, often used to fill gaps that would otherwise go unnoticed until a claim.

Contractors, installers, exhibitors, carriers and any business whose property is regularly away from base.
